About the artist
Christopher Lyter is a lifelong resident of central Pennsylvania. Using palette knife and brush on canvas, Chris employs dynamic color and divergent values applied with a combination of smooth, refined brushstrokes and contrasting areas of thick, textured impasto to produce immersive, three-dimensional works of art. Each painting challenges one to look past the obvious and to open the mind. Chris’s paintings can be found in galleries, venues, and private collections throughout the country and internationally. He lives and works in rural Perry County, Pennsylvania with his wife Lisa and a canine assistant named Maya.
