About the artist
Silvio Balestra Is an Italian artist, he uses photography and computer graphic to give expression to his art. He followed and deepen the conceptual photographic research of abstraction giving another meaning to the light by placing it in a black and white world where every recognizable shape practically disappears. About computer graphic, his last works are the “Microsoft® Excel® drawing”. He created digital graphic works by using not a common graphic application software, but the Excel ® by Microsoft®, the spreadsheet data processing application. His aim is to obtain through digital graphics a pictorial (even through digital) painting by using a basic drawing tool and a mouse hence the term mouse-painting. Other research route is called Concepts and the serie Monocromo Charta . The Concepts are works carried out by using printed photographic ink paper manually remanaged. The serie Monocromo Charta includes photography works skretched by the artist to represent other worlds connected with our mind, our dreams ,our emotions. His works have been displayed in many joint and solo exhibitions, Art fairs in Italy and abroad. He won several Photographic & Art awards in Italy and abroad and his Artworks are published in international Artbooks, Art magazine and Artcatalogue.
