Goliath Frog Skeleton (Moose Antler)
About the piece
The Goliath Frog is an enormous Anuran, the largest frog in the world, found in a very small region of Africa. Threatened by deforestation, it is also consumed as food and captured for the pet trade, though it is extremely difficult to care for and breed. This is a remarkable work of art hand-carved from pieces of Moose Antler. Inspired by specimens of Conraura goliath, now an endangered species, this piece has been carved at life-size. This is a wonderful piece of original sculpture, and would make a stunning addition to an unusual art collection or cabinet of curiosities! Hand made in Bali by Lee Downey. International Customers: Please note that this piece will require special paperwork in order to be exported. Please inquire for details.
