Brian M. White
About the piece
This piece was inspired by a year of college that I spent at Biola college in California. My friends and I would want to get out of the city and we would venture out to Idyllwild. We had a few great weekends of camping out under the stars (literally) and viewing amazing sunsets. The desert does amazing things to the sunsets and gives off unique colors especially purple and orange.
About the artist
Brian has worked in art, design, and communication arts for 20 years. He loves to try new styles and techniques in both painting and printmaking. He is constantly pushing the boundries of what acrylic can look like mixed with mediums to get a traditional oil feel. Brian also loves to make block prints and relief prints with unique linoleum to get the "dry etch" edge of intaglio prints. Brian lives with his wife (also an artist) and three kids in Lawrence, Kansas.
