About the piece
My central theme is based on investigating the variety of ways to address the organic forms of nature and its constant evolution through art. This painting belongs to a series called Tropical Erosion. My primary reference source was the process of wear suffered by the soil as a result of geological processes such as water, wind, temperature changes and human intervention. I integrated Caribbean elements like sand and organic materials from palms trees. I intend to renew our view to our environment and to the traces left by time on the surface of our planet.
