As a result of hurricane Mitch in 1998, United Friends of Honduras was established to provide
relief in the form of clothing, toys and food baskets. Annual trips were made to targeted
communities in or near Morazan, Yoro from 1999 through 2004.
In 2005 they re—organised as HEDAC (Honduras Educationl Development Assistance Corp.),
coming to realise that in order to make a lasting difference they needed to impact
education. HEDAC is not a charity, instead they work with communities to jointly impact
the advancement of education of the children in their respective communities.
To support this cause ,HEDAC is hosting an online Art auction
together with Gallerique. A collaboration we hope to
bring the children of Honduras a better future.
