About the artist
Illusion artist Jason Amatangelo uses geometric shapes, layers, and bold colors to create a three dimensional worlds inside a shadow box frame. Jason calls his images “Analog 3-D”. In the digital age everything is tethered to a wall with a wire. Jason’s art cuts the wire, but still gives to illusion of a 3-D digital image. Every piece gives the viewer a new look throughout the day as the light changes or the angle one views the art. The art might not be digital, but the process is wired. Some of the most high tech CAD software, and C+C equipment is used to create the illusion of depth you see in every piece. Many traditional techniques are used to add color, but an airbrush is the weapon of choice for adding color and more depth.
