Pastels/watercolor on Paper

About the piece
Patterson depicts his experiences through the juxtaposition of realism with illustrative renderings of ‘Bleepers’. The use of these non-gender humanoid characters emphasize the differences between past child-like perceptions with those that we currently hold. The majority of works examine social ideologies, emotions, fantasy, humor, and aesthetics to name a few.
About the artist
Patterson graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Patterson keeps pushing the stereotypes of soft pastels and paints regularly with acrylics, oils, and watercolors.
