From the series Apples & Marshmallows, which uses metaphors for the temptation of instant gratification and references the psychological experiment of the 60’s called the Marshmallows Test. Preschool children were put in a room and offered a marshmallow. They were told that all the adults would leave the room. If on returning to the room it remained they could have two. 30 years on the subjects who resisted the temptation of one marshmallow were more successful in nearly every way.
