About the piece
The photo is one of the frozen Lake Baikal series. It was taken during the ice skating journey to the Lake Baikal (Russia) in the winter of 2015. Baikal in winter is a real place of power, one of the most extraordinary places in the world.
On the photo you can see astonishing ice formations called "Sokui" - frozen splashes of the water.

About the artist
Evgeny Dubinchuk is a photographer based in Russia, winner and finalist of national and international photo competitions.
Travel, nature and adventure photography is his big passion. He is inspired by exploring new places, different cultures, meeting interesting people. It is also a challenge, because he prefers long-time journeys to remote places. It’s hiking, cycling, skiing, ice skating.
